In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
